Visit of Mónica Espinosa Buitrago

Mónica Espinosa Buitrago is at IMT Atlantique from 23th of October 2017 to 21th of December 2017. She is from Bogotá-Colombia. She is lecturer in Santo Tomás University in the telecommunication department and a PhD student in Javeriana University. She is working with professor Xavier Lagrangue on IoT, Television White Spaces and cognitive radio topics.

Visit of Oluwafolake OJO from Nigeria

Oluwafolake OJO, a visiting PhD student from Nigeria has joined ADOPNET from 5th September, 2017 to 16th November, 2017.

She will be working with Dr. Gwendal SIMON on Peer-Assisted 360 Degree Video Technology for Low Capacity Networks and will be based on IMT Atlantique, Rennes campus.

Best paper award at ICC 2017

Xavier Corbillon, Gwendal Simon, Alisa Devlic and Jacob Chakareski (The University of Alabama College of Engineering) received a best paper award at ICC 2017 in category “Communications Software, Service and Multimedia Applications”. The paper is entitled “Viewport-adaptive Navigable 360-Degree Video Delivery”. The work was made when Alisa Devlic was visiting Adopnet.

Arrival of M. Chami

Marwa CHAMI has joined the Adopnet team for a 12-month post-doctoral project. She will be working on REREDO project : Overlay Networks based on SDN for QoS-aware routing and will be based on IMT Atlantique, Brest campus.

A video on project Systuf

The SYSTUF project is a response to the Intelligent Transportation Systems call of the French government program Investments for the Future – National Fund for the digital society. The project aims to demonstrate the feasibility of using LTE (Long term Evolution) to meet the Quality of Service requirements of transport operator for different applications (control and command also called CBTC – Communication Based Train Control, CCTV – Close Circuit TeleVision, transport information, etc.). ADOPNET was involved in this project.

SoGreen meeting hosted by Adopnet

The European project SoGREEN works on the energy efficiency of wireless networks by considering services and applications on caching, C-RAN and smart grids. The main partners are Orange, Nokia (France, Finland and Sweden), KTH, several European PMI and Adopnet (through Institut Mines-Télécom). The next quarterly meeting of the project is organized by L. Nuaymi from ADOPNET on the premises of Télécom Bretagne and stands of 13 June noon June 15 13:00.
